It's a pretty gender neutral name, so it could go either way. I think Cranky in the last episode has been the first fully explored male character outside of Spike the show has had, and I would personally like to see more. Regardless of gender, though, the fandom will ship them with Fluttershy. It's a fact of life.

I actually woke up thinking there was a new episode today. I checked the Hub, but it was only repeats. I checked online and I gave a Big "NO!" when I realized the new episode did not air until March 3rd...

As an aside, I love Pinkie Pie's singing voice. It's really low, but it's just so cute! And technically fine. :) Smile is AWESOME!

Actually those were some characters I thought were NOT gay. If I had to give male ponies a sexuality (why the hell do I keep returning to this topic?), Caramel is gay, Soarin is Bisexual, and Big Mac is a question mark... I'm leaning bi-curious though... Eh... 218? It's been slowing down lately. I just want some more questions, I'm not sure how many of the one's I've got right now I can use to do anything interesting. I need to give a meaty new answer, that'll set it off I don't doubt.

Also Ilsem, You wouldn't be the only one. But I've heard from a lot of different angles that I have a talent for taking silly random ships and making them very believable. The 'excuse' in this case is that Dumbbell was Armored Closet Gay until he shacked up with Hoops.

Actually, I NEVER thought I would enjoy a Rainbow Dash/Big Mac story, but I actually did. It's not a couple I really see working, but somehow the writer did it. Assumptions (The MLP fanfiction) is also a strange pairing: Caramel X Rainbow Dash. Both somehow work... I'm not sure how... ><

I'm of the belief that any concept can be done well if it is written well. If canon characterization stands in the way, all you have to do is create situations to establish believable development in your desired direction. Of course, that is very easy to do, but very hard to do well.

I don't care for shipping to begin with, so I don't look at the dynamics of pairings and probably don't know what I'm talking about, but that's just by 2¢ on things.
