Eh, puns. I don't mind a well-made pun :D

I made a pun in Classically Equestrian. We're discussing Most Art, and we talk about his rather childish behavior. Frederic Horseshoepin (pianist pony) mentions how he once shoved his flank at Princess Luna, to which Cantabile (opera singer) replies: "I guess you could say that he mooned her?"

On that note, Mozart really did have a childish sense of humor. He wrote a canon titled "Leck Mich Im Arsch." No, I am not joking. That is real, I have a recording, and yes, that means exactly what it looks like.

Re: Pinkie Pie & Bubble Berry duet

Holy hell, that just about made my heart burst from adorableness. Almost. The male singer needs more refinement. Nice try, though.

The Singer's voice is good, but he get's a bit too into it. Sort of goes overboard compared to the original. But damn if he ain't adorable for it.

He needs to take a bit more care with the harmony, from what I heard.

Yeah, it sounded like he was trying a bit too hard. Still plenty cute.

Certainly sounds rougher. Maybe it's because Pinkie Pie's part is autotuned on the show. Or maybe because the singing VA is an operatic soprano.

It's a shame we can't have an awesome extended intro like the Italian version.

Pinkie's voice is autotuned? I didn't notice at all... is it subtle, or have I suddenly become about 1000 degrees less perceptive?

I dunno. I mean, it's a show and all, I figure they have sound engineers and polish up the recordings. Just assuming. Maybe they use autotune, maybe they don't.

Eh, even for show that I enjoy the opening theme for, I always end up skipping it after the first few times listening to it. I might listen to the theme separate on my own time, but when I want to watch a show, I want to watch a show, not listen to a nice song.

Wow, that came out rather bitter sounding. I'm not, though. Theme songs are fine.

[up] There's a big difference between cleaning up a recording and auto-tuning a voice. I don't think any of the songs have been auto-tuned, because that's usually very noticeable.

Lawl. I never listen to the theme song. I didn't break down and listen to it the first time until... like, several episodes.

The best line is "Once smitten, twice Fluttershy.

AND TOOLA-ROOLA WILL BE PAINTING AWAY."

I used to skip the intro every time, but now I'm too lazy most of the time.

The actual songs are cleaned up, but not autotuned. It'd be a crime to autotune a voice like Shannon Chan-Kent's.

Fair enough. It'd be nice if there were some recordings of her singing opera.

^^If you look her up on Youtube, there's a video of her singing a duet with one of her... comrades, I guess? backstage at a show.

Ooh! I know that duet! I wish I could remember who the composer is... Faure, maybe? Dang. Wish I could remember the name of the duet or the composer. Something French...

Remember, Secret Of My Excess was around the 50-51k mark, because that's when someone quit.

Especially given that now we don't even really need to be on topic, like when people post that they're going to bed.

Liiiiike me! G'night!
