So if so many people like AJ why is she not featured or talked about more (I mean this for the Brony fandom as a whole not just This Wiki). Most of the time when the Mane 6 come up it is RD or The Best Pony (Pinkie) or Twilight Sparkle (my twin according to Bronyland) or Fluttershy or even Rarity gets talked about more. (Felt too lazy for commas this time). Does the Country Mare need more love?

Because that's just us. outside of here AJ is perceived as 1) Boring/plain/uninterestin or 2)A Nice likable pony but not everyone's favorite.

She's generally received positively but never the best.

I think it's just because she's so reserved compared to the rest of the cast; RD and Pinkie have very...noticeable personalities, Twilight is the de facto protagonist (at least in the first season), and the Rarity centric episodes tend to be highly-regarded. Doesn't mean that AJ is poorly written, just that the aspects of her characterization are subtle enough that they don't stick out that much.

I took it again and got Pinkie Pie.

It actually makes a bit more sense to me. I've got a mix of traits from both characters and they're both my favorite ponies~

Applejack is... bluntly... not as manic or insane as the rest of the cast. (which is precisely why I like her)

I guess having family in the American South (central Virginia) I have a certain sympathy for AJ. Not my favorite but I do "get" her and think she needs or deserves a slightly more elevated status.
