@Blue It's more the moral she's going to learn, not the storyline itself.

Actually, think about it, last season wasn't necessarily about the mane cast learning lessons (though they often did)

It was about Twi learning from them. So... did Shy learn a lesson in Dragonshy. She kinda keeled over in the end because of a leaf.

I don't read out loud. Something I'm not fond of, due to some pretty slow readers I've known during elementary and middle school.

And new Fluttershy episode, sounds good.

I don't think Fluttershy learned a lesson in "Dragonshy", except maybe that she can stand up and protect others when she has to. =)

Yeah, she wasn't supposed to learn a lesson, it was Twilight who learned that "some people are stronger than they look" or something like that.

My point is, Fluttershy's fear was turned Up to Eleven in Dragonshy because she had a phobia of Dragons. Every single episode since, she has not failed to help her friends no matter what sort of danger she had to put herself in. Even when Spike went on a rampage she helped, despite her phobia. She's tougher than she used to be, and presumably will be made even tougher after this Iron Will episode.

Not to mention it's ridiculous to think you can foresee how an entire episode will go from a single sentence synopsis.

More than just reading aloud, it's sort of like pretending I'm an actor reading out lines from a script sort of thing.

@Ace: Philippines.

I suspect Fluttershy has very little skill in weather manipulation, so the episode will be about her learning some of that.

@Kyler: Ah, I forgot there's some areas of the Philipines that are in the same timezone.

I can't say I've ever really recited lines aloud when reading. Besides, I tend to stumble over my words when reading aloud. I understand what I read just fine, it's just that a mild case of Cerebral Palsy and a bit of a stammer cause me to have trouble getting the words out.

@Ginger: I don't think we'll need to worry about that. =D Even if she does help, you know she'll just make things worse a la "Winter Wrap-Up".

I am not aware of a part of the Philippines that isn't GMT+8.

It will be very interesting to see some exposition on how weather control actually works.

I bet Twi never bothered to practice any Climate spells she might know beyond casting them successfully once. Failure is all but guaranteed unless the story demands she roll a Narrativium-powered 20.

@Kyler: Given the globe positioning, I always figured the Philipines was displaced at least a few minutes from Singapore.

Worldbuilding, woohoo!

Unfortunately, that's kinda how the show works. See: The Elements of Harmony; Twilight's "Fix Everything" spell.

But there is no reason from a writing perspective to shoehorn in Twilight. The episode is about Fluttershy, I don't see Twilight having much of a role. Rainbow Dash ought to be there though (_yay.)

actually, given the description and what we've seen of Fluttershy, sounds more like she's more leery about doing the weather duties in front of everypony then she is actually doing them to me.

Stage Fright from Fluttershy? I guess she still has lots of nervousness there :3

I assumed she wouldn't want to be a bother to anyone, and would choose to stay out of the way. Thinking she'd probably just make things worse

Then again, thaat could lead to issues of RD forcing Flutters into doing something that she doesn't want to do. Just because you're a pegasi shouldn't mean that you NEED to be a part of the weather team

Well she did fine in Hearth's Warming Eve. Honestly, Fluttershy is the least shy shy person I've ever seen.

When there is a big ass hurricane coming to wipe out the town, they need every Pegasi they can get.
