Well he ends up working on an orange farm, so maybe that's what he REALLY wanted to do. Then the military stuff showed up and he got distracted by LOYALTY.

btw, do you reckon a cutie mark can be of another pony's face? Like you're so dedicated to them that THEY are your goal in life? I'm wondering cuz I always thought that Misa's cutie mark would be Light's face for some reason

Well...what about Celestia's honour guard? She's literally their entire life, if they work like any other royal guards. What would their cutie marks be? A sun? The symbol of the kingdom(so, that weird...thing she flies in front of in Twilight's flashback, I guess?)

Spike's is even weirder, since he's played by a woman.

But yeah, seeing a voice actor do a voice in person is always really weird. Especially if they don't really fit the voice.

Because looks don't really matter when voicing a cartoon, you notice that most voice actors look ugly in video footage of them in the recording booth! REALLY really eerie!

Well, I managed to catch the episode, A Dog and Pony show. As a Rarity fan, you have no idea how happy I was watching this episode.

Well, the standing theory for both types of Royal Guard is there's a spell in the armor that makes them all look the same (I mean, what are the odds otherwise?), and when they take the armor off, they revert to their 'normal' forms.

This harness is too tight, and it's filthy, what if it leaves a stain, and it's so pinchy, why do I have to wear it?!

My absolute favorite part of that episode. And my absolute favorite part of that is Rarity's little stompy fit in the middle of it.

The Guards are all members of a lesser noble family, that was established from the descendants of a warrior who helped Luna and Celestia ascend the throne. Blue Blood is the 'head' of the family, and so was too valuable to go through military training. His younger brother is the current captain of the guard

right, gotta stop that there, otherwise I'm going to go into full-on fanfic mode...
