Afternoon everyone. So we're talking about why no pony remembers the mane six saving the world? I forget, was it actually acknowledged what the cast had done at that award ceremony, or could it be explained as Celestia just giving them medals for unspecified acts of valor? Because if it's that second one, then it makes sense that not everyone would know about or bother to remember it.
Hey mousa,
how could you not like schmoopy doopy pony pie as an expression of love? Is your grief also good?

Gully Foyle is my name,

Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
@Crowfall: That might be the case, yes. Celestia probably doesn't want the girls to live as state heroes; it would disrupt their lives to a ridiculous extent and make everything harder for them.
Can you think inside the chimney?
I swear Celestia mentions them saving the world from the villain Discord
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
So I've been watching these ants in my bathroom whenever I go in there. I noticed they seem to stick their forelegs up to their mandibles and sort of slick back their antennas.
Are the ants in my bathroom
greasers?
And I too like to think Celestia kept the news of them saving the world from chaos downplayed.

They taught there's no curls too tight, no mind too bright, no skin too dark
To keep Shining!
@Ginger: Oh yeah, she totally does. I thought the whole ending ceremony didn't have any dialogue for some reason. I think it still works if you assume that most ponies have no idea how powerful Discord was, but I might be stretching it now.
I thought the ending ceremony was about them blowing up the death star.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Are jet set and uppercrust in the villain page?
With a wife like that who can blame him?
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back

I did that test twice. I got Fluttershy the first time, but I took it again much later and got Twilight Sparkle. The fact that I was least like Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash did not surprise me in the least.
I'm still weirded out by the fact that the garden party wasn't a set up of some kind by Jet Set and Upper Crust. The ep seemed to be hinting at it:
- 1.) Jet Set and Upper Crust are the first upper class ponies that Rarity talks with in the ep, and the most hostile towards her. (after a brief period of shallow pleasantness at the beginning)
- 2.) Jet Set and Upper Crust were the only upper class ponies we see being annoyed by Rarity's sudden class upgrade.
- 3.) The party was hosted by them, despite the fact that it being hosted by Fancypants would've been more obvious, especially since we hadn't really been led to believe that JS&UC were THAT high up the Canterlot pecking order.
Red Herring? Or maybe it was just me.
... nah it's definitely the latter.

Nah, I was expecting a set up too.
