Maybe Vinyl Scratch will be seeing more play. We are getting a toy of her.

Why no Derpy toy though? She's appeared in almost every single episode as a background pony. Vinyl scratch has only appeared once AFAIK and she gets a toy

She's been sort of knocked down to background, but she did play a supporting role at one point.

Which reminds me. We now have two schoolhouse episodes in which Russel has appeared. By this shows standards, that's pretty consistent. Does anyone else think he may become important? Or at least get a reference, like MR. Waddle did?

I'd be cool for that, but a bit wary. Mostly because she has very little character and hasn't had a major role yet. I'd be wondering what the point was.

With this talk of increased focus on secondary characters in some episodes, it's like they heard our prayers for a "lower decks" style episode.
