Was I the only one who expected Cranky to be a widower? I guess that they wouldn't want to do that in a kids' show, but still, around the half-way mark that was the impression I was getting.
Still would've liked my ironic name idea, but I like Cranky anyways.
Reminds me of me, somewhat. Wanting some damn solitude....
They taught there's no curls too tight, no mind too bright, no skin too dark
To keep Shining!
I attribute all the ponies coming out and joining in less to them loving Pinkie and agreeing with her, and more to some almost irresistible compulsion all ponies have to join into any big musical number they see.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
I was in fact expecting Cranky to be a widower, which is probably another reason I felt for him.

@Seraphem: it's totally herd instinct. Ponies have strong herding instincts iirc.
The jump rope scene were pretty cute. Now did Applebloom not know how to jump rope, or was it merely that she didn't have anyone else to do it with? I expect the latter but I'm kind or curious what you lot think.

Apple Bloom was physically too small to use that jump rope by herself. That's why the other young ponies were jumping together.
I figured that was the case. Just an entertaining question because I lack the coordination to skip rope by myself.
