So does that mean that earth ponies aren't pregnant for as long as the other two types?
Yeah, it's like I pointed out when the episode came out, magic when you're a baby seems to depend more on your base desires, like how Pumpkin was able to use magic to get the toys over to her because she wanted them. And Rarity did say that they had fits of magic that come and go. It's probably that she'll have to learn finer control over her abilities to actually make them do a specific thing, rather than something general.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
I still want to see Sweetie Bell using magic of some kind...

I am in fact awesome.
As I said, I'm worried that such an ep would make RD out to be a massive prick.
... when the hell did I turn into Mio? I
loveit when Dash is a jerk. Bring it on!

Even if Rainbow is a jerk I'm sure she'll be a great teacher.
Tealove is best pony.

I guess that could explain why we never saw her pregnant. The whole thing lasted a week.
It wouldn't necessarily make RD a jerk; it would actually give her a pretty good opportunity to finally show her better side. Like she's totally willing to help Scootaloo out, and Scoots feels bad when it doesn't work or something. As long as they made Rainbow Dash more of an enthusiastic teacher rather than a drill sergeant it could work. In "Call of the Cutie" she was totally willing to help Apple Bloom out.
Yeah, if anything I see Rainbow Dash being a bit too gung-ho when it comes to teaching. I think she'd be enthusiastic but accidentally push too hard.
Yeah. My best guess would be that Dash would be
too enthusiastic about helping her (once she got into the swing of things) and overdo it.
Also, sorry, Crowfall!

Can you think inside the chimney?
Oh, the sight of Scoots flying for the first time
would make me SO happy

I see a combo of, over enthusiastic teaching, pushing her to hard, and being to critical of any failures.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
Sigh, watcha talkin' aboot now, gents?

Scootaloo learning to fly.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Hypothetical "Scootaloo learns to fly" episode.

Hypothetical as in no new info? Ah well, I still find it weird Pound can fly and Scoots can't.

Aww, it sounds like this is setting up a scene where Scootaloo tells off RD and stops idolizing her. Even if it's only temporary that would make me really sad.

Didn't that happen in MMDW?
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
She never got upset with RD in that one, she just got distracted by another pony. And even that depressed me a bit. Scoots! How could you?
No one likes MMDW, so we don't have to rationalize bits from it. =D
Can you think inside the chimney?
MMDW? Nope, never heard of it.

Hypothetical episode idea: Scootaloo asks Rainbow to teach her to fly; Rainbow blows her off and tells her to ask Fluttershy instead. I dunno how that would work out.
@Mousa: Happy belated birthday, all five of you.
Spoilered for personal crap:
Just got news about my Manuscript back: the agent said my writing was very good, but they aren't interested in representing me. Feels bad...
EDIT: L Mage, your avatar is awesome, and I don't even like Zecora.
EDIT 2: "No one likes MMDW, so we don't have to rationalize bits from it."
I liked most of it.
