Voted for rarity as she represents a fairly unique take on a fashion designer character (both being treated much as any artist character would be treat, and lacking the shallowness often found in such characters), her focus episodes have been good, and she get a good number of funny lines.

I don't think I've had an American animated series win me over this quickly since Megas XLR, and it wouldn't surprise me if this becomes the standard by which I judge character based humor. Also, I think My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic shows that flash can be used to make a series that looks very good.

Heh. I had to add both of my favorites to the list. Apparently no one loves Luna. Or Trixie, but I suppose that was to be expected.

I definitely agree with you about the animation. Usually with flash you can see the shortcuts that they use pretty clearly, but I couldn't actually tell just by watching, for once.

Actually, Trixie has a pretty large fanbase.

Admittedly, most of them are Trixie/Twilight shippers, but still.

I don't think that I like Trixie for what she is, so much as what she may be. It's just there are one or two idle little things that she does throughout the episode that make me think she's not quite the bitch she comes across as, or at least has a different reason than we think. 'Course, I'm probably just projecting, but whatever. Blame all the fanfiction for that, I guess.

So I'm actually watching Episode 6 for the first time now...does anyone else think that the way Trixie's hair is drawn makes her look like she's going bald?

I'm a little sorry for Applejack. I find her accent terribly charming, but I guess she doesn't leave as much of an impression as other characters.

Buuut in the interest of not voting up every-freaking-pony, I voted for Fluttershy (as if she needed the support), Pinkie Pie and... the newly added Rarity. Her voice actress is just too amazing and the two recent episodes were possibly my favorite ever.

Oh yeah, I just remembered. Apparently, the original Fluttershy wasn't a Pegasus? So why was she called Fluttershy? ._.

Looked up the chart to be sure, since I'm not familiar with G3. I'm guessing she was called Fluttershy because she had a butterfly cutie mark. They look completely different, though: Fluttershy's more of a Posey Expy who just borrowed the G3 version's name and cutie mark theme...

I was surprised to see Rarity's based on a unicorn named Sparkler, though. I'd thought she was more based on Glory, with the color scheme — I didn't know there was already a unicorn with that sort of cutie mark!

I love this show.

My reaction to it was bascially the same as everyone else when they heard about it, and that reaction was the same as everyones reaction to Robot Unicorn Attack "My god. This is the gayest thing I have ever see- OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS IS AWESOME!"

I kinda put the show on haitius after I finished watching "Applebuck Season" So I have to watch episodes 5-8, just finished watching "Bridle Gossip" and I must say, Fluttershy + Barry White voice = win.

Someone already answered this, but originally Pinkie Pie was going to have Wings (Then Rainbow Dash would never catch a break from her...). But instead gave it to Fluttershy. Though I think it's nice to have a Pegasus that almost always uses her wings (Dash) and another who uses it less (Fluttershy).

I noticed that I owned a G3 unicorn that looked more like Fluttershy than G3 Fluttershy. Strange huh?
