Because the aesops are delivered through fairly creative, character driven stories, the Tropes are used well and presented in new ways, and so much love and care was put into the show that it becomes almost tangible.

Don't worry, it wasn't long ago I was exactly in your position. I'd managed to discover the show, couldn't possibly understand why it was as entertaining as it is, and now here I am.

Trust me, accepting that you like the show gets easier with time.
