"Hearts and Hooves Day" was hilarious. Easily one of the funniest episodes so far for me.

Did anyone else interpret the aesop as a Take That against rabid Shipping, or am I just projecting?

Well in Canada you have to go in for re-election at least every 5 years. An election can be called earlier though, so parties tend to call them when they're already popular. A prime minister can only serve two terms, and they don't have to be adjacent - it's happened before that a prime minister has been beaten between his two terms.

Not sure how different the UK is, though.

I'm pretty certain that there is not set term in Britain. From what I gather the Prime Minister remains in office until he/she retires, is kicked out by parliament, or his party loses the majority.

I can not say for certain though.

That would be the smart thing to do, hence why it escaped me.

The reason I ask is because I am having Daring talk about the contributions the three Pony leaders from Hearth's Warming and she mentions that Chancellor Puddinghead created the first democratic government body in history: The Equestrian Parliament. She also mention that Celestia is the longest serving Minister ever, having been reelected consecutively time after time for the last thousand years or so.

We get a solumn eulogy for 5 minutes, then Sweetie Belle sings the ONE line, leaves, and then gets scolded roughly by the others there! :D

I'm actually surprised we haven't talked more about that. Especially considering how much discussion the "cancer pony" got last week. I want to both applaud and scold the animators for putting it in, because 1: They actually went there, and 2: They actually went there. In the middle of a very happy, sweet song.
