Fluttershy is an even more towering presence, she's absolutely taller than AJ and RD are.

A young Uncle Sam though right?

I have a message from another time...
Hey Mousa, what heights would you put to your versions of the characters?

@Mio I always find it more satisfying and genuine when a character starts stammering, rather than actually crying.

No, it just doesn't feel satisfying. and I find the crying just as annoying

I look forward to meeting Cranky. I'd actually prefer if they don't model him after Uncle Sam.

I do have to wonder though, is Cranky Doodle Donkey actually going to get along with any other pony? I mean I know his name suggest no. But this episode could really fall flat if he was just an unpleaseable jerk to everypony.
I like to think that Cranky would be perfectly amiable, except when it came to Pinkie. Because seriously, her antics can be severely irritating.

@Mio That's my number 1 fear, that Cranky is going to be treated as though he's in the wrong.

Oh no... I just had a terrifying, bone-chilling thought.
What if this ep winds up being like Homer's Enemy? 0_0 With Cranky as Frank Grimes

I thought people had mentioned a break between H&H and
A Fi D.

I am hoping this isn't the case. I actually found myself siding with Frank Grimes in that episode.

Mio, imagine someone from the real world entering Springfield and dealing with Homer's stupidity on a daily basis. And then snapping because everyone else accepts it and likes Homer in spite of his general incompetence. That's the gist of Homer's Enemy.

As noted earlier, that's basically what I'm hoping for. That or Jimmy Cagney, but that sure as shit isn't going to happen.

@Mio A hard working man named Frank Grimes comes to work at the plant. Homer tries to befriend him, but his stupidity and zany antics merely serve to grate on Frank's nerves. Every time Homer tries, he just pisses off Grimes more and more. Grimes tries to set Homer up but it backfires because the universe bends itself to fuck Grimes over.
In the end Grimes goes insane and ends up accidentally killing himself. No one cares

That too

So a perfectly rational person is basically put up against 'our loveable idiot', and the show contrives to make their reactions - which any and all of us would share - out to be bad and unreasonable? To an idiotic degree?
