^^I'm not sure he's thinking anything at all. Ever. It's a combination of that
stare, the fact that he tries to eat everything constantly, and the contrast between him and Spike (who is a really expressive reptilian character). So... yeah.
^^^I might also be interested in some good realistic fanfiction - as realistic as fic about magical sparkleponies can be, anyway. It might be interesting to explore tensions between earth ponies and pegasi, for instance, or fics with conflict between the mane cast that doesn't involve ridiculous violence.

One of these days I'm going to do one of those screencap comic things that somehow invloved Rainbow Dash reading people's minds. When she gets to Gummy, all he will be thinking are the words

Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
Gummy reminds me of my 17 year old dog, he was more of less blind so if you put anything near his mouth he would snape at it, since he can't see real food he was just cautious and asume if you were putting something by his mouth it had to be food, maybe Gummy was dropped hard on his head and it's not that he wants to eat the ponies it's just that eating is the othing thing he know how to do...i could see pinkie having to put him in a diper or express his bladder manually is a more mature show

Agreed on the general dislike of grimdark fics. One of the things I like about the show is the tone. It isn't as cynical as just about everything else, and I don't see the need to bring that in.

Fallout Equestria is the only grimdark fic I'm reading.

I've only ever read one darkfic that I actually enjoyed; and it was a really well done one shot. I think my main problem with them is that the vast majority of them lose the tone of the original material. I mean, if I'm reading a fic about bloody murders and cannibalism or whatever, it just wouldn't feel like an MLP story.
I had an idea for a fic that's sort of grimdark. It's basically about a witch hunt scenario, except they're hunting half-breed ponies(ie half unicorn, half pegasus, for example.)
Okay, but it should include some really bizarre half-breeds, like half-Breezie, half-Sea Pony.
Doesn't the status of Celestia contradict that?
That seems terribly out of character for Celestia.
Haha, but I kinda like the idea that it was a major struggle for Celestia to become as respected as she is now.
