For the wings, could it not be that the adventurer in the novel is an Earth Pony, and Rainbow is just imagining herself without the usage of her wings since the character she's imagining wouldn't be able to use them?

Also I want her to read a book about an Alicorn.

Maybe it's just one wing that's injured, but both get taped down to prevent sympathetic movement, and she just lays on the uninjured side.

Ways to get a Fan Nickname popular.

A) Make a really popular fanfic and/or funny/memorable fanart

B) Get a tag popular on ponibooru.

C) Start a popular Ask A Pony blog for the character.

... Anyone remember how I almost got Pipsqueak nicknamed "Sparrow" before his name turned out to be, well, Pipsqueak? That nickname was just starting to spread across the fansites, too!

I can't help but wonder what, if any, roles Dash will fantasize her friends in. I'd personally see Fluttershy as The Medic, Rarity as Team Mom, AJ as the hard hitting Lancer, and Twilight as...the scientist. :P
