LOL there is no Controversy since we all seem to be on the same side. There are so few people who are Anti-Derpy we can all mention them by name! And people within Hasbro seem categorically unaware of any "Backlash" over Derpy's name or behavior. We Love Fine took down the name because the PERMISSIONS HAVE CHANGED for the copyright when the name "Derpy" was said on screen. Before, the name "Derpy" belonged to no one and now the name can be considered the have a "Spoken copyright" or, an "undocumented copyright". Hasbro likely wants to fully copyright the name "Derpy" before they give anyone commercial rights to use it. I've seen this happen a lot with stuff that has "Fan" names. If they wanted to "Censor" Derpy then We Love Fine would have to remove ALL THE MERCHANDISE not just temporarily edit out the name. As for why "The Last Roundup" was taken off Itunes, it's likely a coincidence. I've seen Episodes of Mythbusters and Justice League taken down and put back up, for a number of different reasons. Sometimes it's to change some kind of mistake, or because something in the episode's copyright has changed (like a licensed piece of music being used or the name of a product showing that has to be edited out). Relax Bronies, this is mostly in our heads.

I have not seen ANYONE complain Derpy is offensive, just a few people who claim that people could be offended by it, and a large number of people who are complaining that people are complaining that people might find it offensive.
