It’s highly probable that Satan has chosen [Lauren] Faust to be his modern-day emissary of evil. The signs are clear.
I understand the fridge brilliance about
losing the farm (spoiled for Arha's sake), but I still don't understand why
the Brothers seemed to assume that the farm would go to them. They won cider-production rights. They didn't win the land, the buildings, or even any apples outside of what was used for the competition. If the episode hadn't gone on to give the Apples a way out, then at the least they could have refused business to the Brothers, and told them to get off of their property, which was still their property, for however long they'd be able to still maintain it. Maybe write a few letters to the countless orchards run by the extended Apple family, tell them about what happened. Good luck getting any apples now, Brothers.

I have a message from another time...
And they wouldn't have been anywhere near as generous the second time around.
Can you think inside the chimney?
They would have scalped on any subsequent deals.
^That's my point. 5/95, if I don't miss my guess.
Can you think inside the chimney?
I'm sure word would have been spread to the rest of the Apple Clan (family grapevine). Those two might be looking at some serious difficulty from the Clan in the future.
Any town with an Apple outpost will never see hide nor hair of the Flim Flams, because the Apples will see them first and chase them off.
Can you think inside the chimney?
I wonder if there even are any apple farms that aren't owned by their extended family. There sure were a lot of them at the reunion. You might need to go halfway to Zebra country to find an apple farm not owned by them. Flim and Flam may have shot themselves in the hoof by ticking them off.

Why can I imagine Banjo music playing over that last panel?
mornin' everyone.
I wonder if Spike was being serious when he mentioned Sapphire season? XD I can't imagine what it would mean for ponies if it IS a real thing, mind.

Personally, I imagine Yakkety Sax playing for it...

So did I!
Then again, I imagine Yakety Sax playing over everything, including major disasters and
Magic: The Gathering demons.
I guess I'm kind of weird that way.

You make them sound like some kind of pony mafia.
"These bozos want to meddle with the family business, eh? Well then, we'll make them an offer they can't refuse."
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
