Yes, Applelight, yes it is. Going through every single page is worth every penny. The way these characters grow through utter madness will blow your mind from laughter.

Lack of comprehensiveness is not a good selling point. There are are only three hints that draw me to Homestuck: it's overbearing popularity, the unique design of the imps, and my obsession with the zodiac.

It's not incoherent, it's just really complicated. And yeah, the beginning is tough to get through, especially if you aren't familiar with the format. Like I said before, I tried and failed twice to get into it. It's a good series, but I'm not gonna lie, you have to work for it a bit. The author is a pretty big believer in Viewers Are Geniuses. I didn't pick up on a lot of things until I reread it.

Ginger, It's not that it doesn't make sense, it's just complicated. Sometimes, far more than it should be, which sometimes has to do with the fact that it's not done yet. Plus, as you can tell, if you actually do read it, there are plenty of people here who could make it less confusing for you.*

Also, why is it so funny to me that a few days ago, the MSPA thread was talking about MLP and now the MLP thread is talking about HS?

I disappeared for a while, but anyway @JT: Yeah, I was talking about the Doc. And he's not the only great villain.

Anyway, for those saying it's too hard to understand I really have to disagree. Homestuck has the most convoluted plot I've ever read, yet it actually makes perfect sense and follows a consistent internal logic. And despite having an insanely complex plot, so far I've never caught the author in a plot hole.

Anyway, I keep losing my internet for various reasons so I'm kinda sporadic on what's actually going on in this thread. What were we talking about?

Don't feel that way ginger. Lots of things in it take a while to figure out, and lots of them don't make sense until the events get revisited by other characters. The whole thing jumps around in time a lot, and it can be confusing until you take time to parse everything out.

Well, looks like I managed to skip another massive FPK debate. Those are always great to ignore. But now we're back to Ginger somehow being able to disliking characters for being "protagonists" when that term has nothing to do with their actual character.

I'm sorry, man. You have your things that you just don't get about how others think, and this is mine for how you think. It really makes no sense to me at all.

I did read all of the way through 8-bit Theater, and I found it funny. The characters don't have to be likeable when they get beat up more than anyone else. Besides, there's always Fighter, and he's plenty likeable.

Edit: And while I was typing, now we're on to Homestruck, for which I have no input as I know nothing about it.

It very much doesn't lack cohesion. It just follows it's own bizarre logic, which you have to take the time to understand.

I'm definatly going to read 8-bit theature now.

I keep forgeting about him. He is the only truely good character...in that entire world.

@Crow I'm REALLY bad with stuff like that though.

I'm the sort of guy who will read the same panel on a comic 10 times just so I have it completely memorized. Or I'll watch the same 5 seconds of a fight scene 20 times in slow motion just to memorize the choreography.

And this is for stuff that ISN'T supposed to be convuluted

No. How would you even make Black Mage Lighter and Softer and still keep him similar? I don't remember the character enough to imagine it.
