She didn't seem like she was doing that to me. She did try to hook Pinkie up to a machine and see if there was any correlation. It is not hubris to try to learn about the world.

Besides, if I had a friend who swore that every time they woke up with bed hair it was going to rain I wouldn't buy it either.

Basically Twilight's problem was that she wanted to explain the Pinkie Sense solely to prove that Pinkie was wrong about it. She was assuming from the beginning that she was right about it and using her observations to prove her assumptions rather than simply trying to figure out what was going on. The issue was her motivation.

The other thing is that Pinkie's random twitches and whatnot were shown to be totally accurate, and several other ponies with previous experience with it vouched for it's accuracy. It's like if your friend really did get frizzy hair when it rains.

Seriously though, they don't interest me. Outside of Final Fantasy I REALLY don't like open world gameplay. I get bored with all the exploring

@Mage A scientist is also supposed to remain skeptical until you've proven with 100% certainty that something exists.

I WANTED Pinkie to be put through more tests. There has to be a reason why she can do it beyond just "She's Pinkie" (everytime I hear that excuse, I punch something)

Y'know what? I wouldn't believe it either, even after seeing it in action a few dozen times.

I completely sympathize with Twi's reaction. Even though it's happening in front of her, it doesn't make any fucking sense!
