Didn't like Feeling Pinkie Keen much. Belief based aesops tend to rub me the wrong way except for a few special exceptions like the idea you should believe in your friends even if you have no proof, or the one about how you should believe in truth justice etc. because where would you be without belief in them?

The controversey over the moral of FPK is regrettable, as it's otherwise a fine episode.

And I don't think Derpy would have the best dress sense tbh, so congrads to getting that across Mousa.

Ah, well, I didn't much like the slapstick either, but I partially chalked that up to feeling it was rather undeserved. I agreed with Twilight, after all, that you should be able to explain things, so she just seemed to be getting unwarranted punishment.

@Arha That's why I called it Mean-spirited. It felt like Disproportionate Retribution given what Twilight had done up until then.

Her desire to prove the Pinkie Sense wrong was ultimately harmless. She wasn't hurting anyone by testing Pinkie (even if her motives for doing so were suspect)

Twilight was absolutely dead set in dissmissing the Sense, believing herself to posess all the answers, and was determined to prove her own judgement rather than let the evidence speak for itself...and was even beginning to act a little bit mean spirited towards Pinkie at one stage.

I think the moral of the story was supposed to be...don't let hubris cloud your judgement.
