The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
Depend, for potato chips and crisps I follow the idea that chips can either be sliced crisps or simply reconstituted mashed potatos.
Is anyone else having trouble with Ponibooru? I keep getting error messages when I try loading the site.
If you wish to know, you only need to ask.
The word "Fries" over in the uk is used ONLY to refer to the types of "fries" (to use your term) that you get from places like
McDonald's and Burger King

wait wait, Ace reminded me. We do have something TECHNICALLY called crisps. Chips are sliced chunks taken right off a potato, crisps are reconstituted potato mash.
Again that only a TECHNICAL difference, everyone just calls them chips. It only exists because of Pringles, which are the only big company that makes "crisps". And only exists becuase a bunch of the existing "chip" companies got upset and tried to sue them so they just changed the classification.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
From my experience over in the UK, American chips == crisps, fries == fries, and chips from fish & chips == chips in general.
If you wish to know, you only need to ask.

Oddly enough, Pringles don't officially call themselves crisps over here in the UK, even though everyone does anyway. Not sure why but I think it is legal reasons. It looks like there was taxing on crisps, which Pringles didn't properly fall under do to a lowing potato content in them. This seems to have changed now though.

Haha, us Sngaporeans are confused because we need to get savvy in both US and UK English terminology and spelling at once.
Oh, and your insistence upon calling Football "Soccer" How could I forget that?

Lets just give everyone in the world the same language. That will solve this problem.
I propose Japanese!

"trailer parks" aren't a thing over in the UK? Well, it's not as surprising as finding out Black Friday only exists in the US.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.

I actually have no idea what Black Friday even is...
EDIT:I looked it up. I've heard of it, but yes, the UK doesn't have them.

I think the council sink estate is the closest equivalent the UK has to the American trailer park.
