Get that the hell off of Google Docs, unless you want it to vanish forever. It no longer keeps a record of your edits; you can only access your doc if you have a direct link.

... There's an alternative to Google Docs?

You can always use the search function in the Docs, or you could use Hotmail's Sky Drive.

I should mention, I intentionally set sharing to "only those with a direct link" because these are evaluation versions.

So what's bad about Fanfiction.net, anyways? I don't really know anything about it, but I'm sort of looking to find another place to stick my stuff aside from Google Docs(or devart; people knowing I watch the show is one thing, knowing that I write fanfics about it is something else entirely.)

It mucks with the formatting of your stories. I'm very picky, I need my paragraphs, headers etc. to be in exactly the right place, but with FF.net's system there's no way to do that. Eventually, you have to live with less than perfect. Whatever Google Docs' faults, at least the document I uploaded is exactly as I wrote it out in Atlantis Nova.

That, and I know that whatever comments I get here are at least going to be somewhat educated. FF.net is the place where your story is mandated to include what ships it supports in the description, and 99% of the readers care more about pony sex than whether or not the story is actually good. Call me elitist if you will, but no matter how bad my story is, putting it on FF.net is still casting pearls before swine.

I can see the formatting getting annoying. I'm really OCD about that myself.

As for the comments...I'd say can't you just ignore them, but I guess 20 iterations of 'why aren't they shagging' would piss anyone off. Hell, In my only shipping fic they didn't even really get together, I'd hate to see what people think of that, if they're that bad...
