"...... it's just.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'D DO WITHOUT THEM!" -Twilight.

Or, that's a paraphrase, but the affect is there!

Oh wait...

"I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all — are my friends. You see, Night Mare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic."

@ Shota: That's one of the most groan-worthy moments in the show, IMO. It's right up there with Twilight's "I've got to fight for my friendships! For me! For them! For Equestria!" and Fluttershy's "We'd never be able to fix the holes in our hearts."

As Discord might say: "Gag."

K I just rewatched the scene...

She actually doesn't say much at the end of Episode 2, but Celestia has the long line instead. Interesting.

I don't find anything groan-worthy about it.

I think I'll go to bed now. Good night guys.
You read it. You read it and you read it. And I want you to read it.

It'd be sappy coming from anything but an Equestrian Pony :3

Goodnight everybody.

I thought the "hole in our hearts" line was cheesy, but wasn't too horrible because it's entirely in character for Fluttershy to say something like that, and Rainbow Dash's reaction made the scene as a whole less cringeworthy.

Yeah really. Best get used to dealing with some sugary sweetness if you're going to watch pony. Even FIM.

None of those scenes are as groan-worthy as... well, I can think of several from Sonic Heroes and one from Sonic Adventure 2.

Or as cringeworthy as previous incarnations of the My Little Pony franchise. Believe me. I know. I'm having to sit through them all in order to write up accurate pages for them.

Hmm, it looks like practically everybody wants to know their first post now. I guess I should do another one of those giant list posts for everybody at once.

I actually don't remember the "hole in our hearts" line. What episode was it from?

Hell, I don't really find much in this series cringeworthy. If anything, Scootaloo's "EWW! GIMME A BREAK!" is more cringeworthy than Twilight's speech in Elements of Harmony.

Seriously, I know how Ginger feels when he wants to punch Pinkie in the face whenever I watch Scootaloo in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles."

YES! Scootaloo's inability to accept n emotional moment was nothing short of annoying.

These moments just stood out, and reminded me I was watching a cartoon for little girls. Then again, I've never seen G3.5, so I don't know how much worse it could be. [lol]

[up][up][up][up]Oh yeah.

[up][up][up]I actually agree with this sentiment. Then again i may just have a high tolerance for sappiness and schmultz.

The letter writing scenes can get a little cringe-inducing for me, but they've gotten better about that lately. Other than that, nothing is really that overly sappy unless it is justified by overwhelming cuteness.

It comes off way less cheesy than one particular line in the game Sonic Heroes. "We're gonna show that creep THE REAL SUPER DUPER POWER OF TEAMWORK!" Or Tails in SA 2 ruining an otherwise emotional scene by saying "Well I do know one thing. WE ALL DID IT TOGETHER!"

Glad I'm not part of that fandom anymore.
