You know, I've always wondered how many lurkers we have on this thread. I can see why some people would be unwilling to post with us around. ^_^
Pagetopper?... I got nothing... -_-

@ Red. It's been a long time since I've read them so I tend to mash them all together in my head, but I love Vimes. His books are just awesome.

@Bindlestick
When you're in the MLP:FIM thread, you always have something to contribute.
I was going to post something mean-spirited and self-deprecating in response, but dammit this is neither the time nor the place!
If you watch it backwards, it's about a magic shark that fixes a guy's boat and vomits up so many people they need to open up a beach.
Pah, Moist von Lipwig? That miniseries was certainly
moist, I'll say that much.
My top three are
Night Watch,
Monstrous Regiment and, surprisingly,
I Shall Wear Midnight. I didn't like the first three Tiffany books, but I
adored Midnight.
Snuff was merely okay, which was a big letdown after
Thud!.

Can you think inside the chimney?
The night watch has to be some of the best protagonists in any book ever. Ginger, If you give any book a shot, make it a Diskworld.
The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
Is Vetinari an antagonist? I don't think he is, really, but he's awesome.
If we're talking antagonists, Mister Teatime's always been a personal favorite. Though that's just me, I'm not entirely sure what you're taste in villains is.
If you watch it backwards, it's about a magic shark that fixes a guy's boat and vomits up so many people they need to open up a beach.
You know what would REALLY be awesome? Where a "Sammy" becomes placed right in Granny Weatherwax's village, she takes offense, and Vimes is forced to come to the village and confront her.
Which do you think would be the
Immovable Object and the
Unstoppable Force......?

There are three constants in the universe: creation, destruction, and Fate. Guess which one am I? - Id the Imp
Vetinari's not a villain, but he's definitely a
Magnificent Bastard and an incidental hero at best. He runs the city the way it has to be run, and he can be ruthless about it.
I liked the Auditors, too, and... oh! Whatsisface, Can...thingy from
Night Watch. That's a
fantastic book.

@Ginger: Reacher Gilt (Going Postal) and Carcer (Night Watch) are the two who immediately jump to mind.

I like how Quickly this became a Diskworld love thread. ^_^

Hmmm... 'fraid I can't make any recommendations, then. It's been a while since I've actually read any Discworld. I know I have The Color of Magic laying around somewhere, but that's it.

Carcer's
maybe a magnificent bastard. He's
Axe Crazy to a stunning degree, but he manages to co-opt an entire uprising for his own purposes.
For a true Magnificent Bastard, Vetinari Vetinari Vetinari. He's not a villain, like I said, but he is
amazingly bastardy.
Can you think inside the chimney?
Does Teatime count? Or is he just clever and crazy?
@Cookoo: Inside every non-Discworld thread is a Discworld thread and a lot of chocolate.
