Don't be, bro. Unless it was like, Rule 34 or something, in which case, uh, well, yeah.

Pagetopper!

@CDRW If someone expects me to dedicate WEEKS of my life to something, I'd better have some kind of incentive to read it [lol]

[up][up]I don't expect nuttin. It's a leisure activity anyways and you don't have to do it, or feel bad about not doing it.

[up] I know, isn't it awesome? grin

[up][up][up] You know, you're not actually legally required to finish every book you start.

If you start reading a book and don't like it, put it down and go find a better book.

But you can't just put a book down after reading only the first chapter. That's not even enough to time to introduce the villain more often than not [lol]

^Yes you can. I don't do it often because I have good taste in books, but there have been times when I've just put books down and walked away.

Still doesn't solve the villain problem though.

At the moment, I'm trying to find all the media I can that has REALLY good villains. Books included [lol]

Wish I could help you there, but I'm coming up blank. I like a good villian as much as the next guy, but I don't pay that much attention to their presence when selecting a book.

Eergh... I'm not in a good mood right now. I want to rip something in half, or get into an argument on the 'net, or just go back to bed...

I'll be back later, folks. I shouldn't be around right now.

The villains in Discworld are great. And the books are short.

[up][up]It makes more sense the more you get into it.

Granted, the same could be said of a lot of things.

And I have no idea what I'm doing here.
If you watch it backwards, it's about a magic shark that fixes a guy's boat and vomits up so many people they need to open up a beach.

^You have a pony avatar. You belong here.

Also, Discworld starts rather slowly - The Colour of Magic is all over the place. They get much better, though, and you don't have to start with it.

...that's got to be a record to renege on an (even temporary) departure. =|

There is a pony in your avatar. You know exactly what you're doing here. wink

[up] Welcome back! You want to talk about what's got you all worked up?

Also, don't even bother with The Colour Of Magic. You can pick up Discworld at almost any point, and that book (in my opinion) sucks.

No, I mean I don't know why I'm posting here in the first place.

I have nothing to contribute.

CDRW, what're your top three Discworld books?

I really think Vetinari would get along smashingly with Celestia, though she's much more openly benevolent than he is.

[up][up] I was paraphrasing. The actual strip read "I heard someone talking about tits and breasts."
