Seriously, I think Applejack's party in the latest episode is the first time Fluttershy and Big Macintosh have ever been in the same room together, and yet Flutter/Mac shipping is incredibly popular for reasons unfathomable to me.

Actually if you paid attention Fluttershy & Big Macintosh stood next to each other quite a lot in this episode. No, that's not a Ship Tease, but shippers took notice.

Also, why was Bon Bon at the train station? She's like, randomly there with the Mane Six & AJ's relatives.

Yeah, but FlutterMac has been a popular pairing for a good while now. They literally had no scenes where they were even both present and it was still popular. Unless, of course, I'm missing a scene somewhere (and I probably am).

Combination of both. I'm usually writing it while we discuss the episode, so there's definitely influence, although it's more a case of the discussion in this thread drawing my attention to things in the episode that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
