Yeah, that's disgusting. How can you have that much hate for any of the ponies? I don't get it.

I agree that more love needs to go to AJ. She sort of got overshadowed this episode.

That guy...is crazy.

And while I admit that Derpy and Pinkie both kind of stole the show (no offense Ginger) I really liked the way AJ was portrayed in the episode.

I did like the way they balanced things so AJ didn't win at the rodeo but was still clearly one of the best there. Cherries said she'd never seen somepony win that many ribbons, so I guess she has more of a jack of all trades thing going on. I wonder if those ponies RD mentioned were some of the ones that beat her in certain events.

@Crow The way I saw it, she spread herself too thin because she wanted to win lots of prize money. Ordinarily, she would only compete in one or two events but this time she got overconfident.

Still, the fact that she could compete at THAT level across all those events is amazing. Jubilee even said that she hadn't seen anything like it

At the moment both AJ and PP have only had two (soon to be three).

That's the way I'm looking at it. She should have just practiced a few events. Still, why weren't there prizes for second and third place? Is that normal for rodeos? Also, this episode marks the only time in my life I've ever had the desire to actually go to a rodeo.

I have bad experiences with rodeos, myself.

I fell off a horse during a team penning event, landing on my pancreas and causing me to have to go to the hospital to see if anything was wrong.

There wasn't, but it was still EXCEEDINGLY PAINFUL.

I'm okay with Twilight getting less focus. She's my favorite pony, but she did sort of hog the spotlight in season one. Fluttershy though, she needs an episode STAT. At this point I'm legitimately surprised every time a new episode is announced and it isn't about her.
