My avatar is making bedroom eyes at me, and it scares me a litte.

I have seen our future, and from the looks of things, we should leave this mudball to the silly folk and go colonise the stars. Who knows, we might even find Equestria out there :D

That would be kinda unsettling to me. Plushies aren't meant to be pincushions unless they're effigies of some jerk you want to use as voodoo dolls.

I think we're witnessing the absolute pussification of Western society. Little kids being scared of FIM and parents saying it's violent/inappropriate/should be banned.

Meh. Not really. There have always been these extremes. If anything, we're more desensitized, because we now have more access to things and less general censorship.

By the way, I just realized how scarily fast this thread is going. Boobustuber quit around 51k posts IIRC, and that was just after Secrets of My Excess.

That means that the last 3 episodes alone have generated over 20k posts!

^She was a poster who, as noted, quit around "Secret of My Excess" - and I'll be honest here, I was never terribly fond of her, so my account of matters may be a bit biased or oversimplified - because she apparently decided that Rarity shushing Spike meant that the show was endorsing interspecies pedophilia. She was also rather outspoken when it came to promoting the show as a paragon of feminism, but it's been twenty thousand posts since we touched on that subject and I'd rather not get into it any further than 'Lauren Faust did something really amazing for equality with this show'.
