I'm on the halfway for fashion. Often times it really is incredibly stupid and meaningless, but on the other hand, I pay attention to what a girl wears. I may not comment on it, but how she dresses and does her hair is actually something that I pay attention to.

Why only females? Male fashion is just as important.

Especially when you start going back historically. Ancien Regime...Cavalier is my personal favorite though. Gotta love the bucket top boots.

Because I'm not bi. Male fashion is important and has the appropriate effect on how I see a person, but I don't pay attention to them like I do the girls.

Incidentally, i absolutely loathe sphagetti straps.

Fair enough. I tend to pay attention to both because I want to build up a a bunch of references to possible clothing I could implement at some point.

Anyone remember what it was like when this thread went on for pages and pages about the Foil!Six and other fannon things? I'm guessing how you all felt then is how we are feeling now.

@Robbie It's different. Pony fashion. Different, simpler standards. I don't need to sift through hundreds of years of FUCKING history in order to understand it.

It's okay, Ginger, I'm not too interested in fashion either, and I'm probably color-coordination blind as well (as in, I would have to be explicitly told that certain colors are clashing because I wouldn't notice it on my own). (which is yet another reason I would NOT get along with Rarity if she was real)

What American/Western cartoons/comics would the ponies like? I remember there being some discussion of anime they might like, but what about American cartoons? What would they think of the talking animal characters? Would they just see that as normal? Or only for some animals? Would Fluttershy think Looney Tunes is scary because of all the hunters in it?

You'd think I'd pay more attention to how I dress myself, but you'd be wrong.

Pinkie Pie might like the shows like 90210 or other high class things with parties. And the Food Network.

CDRW: High five! I haven't paid any more attention than the basics one infringed by society for quite a while. I just like discussing them theoretically. Especially in fiction.

I'm not that interested in fashion either.

On the subject of western cartoons, it's hard to say. I do think that Fluttershy would probably not be that scared of Looney Tunes once she gets used to the no-deaths-unless-funny rule, and even then she'd still sort-of be offended by the killing of characters.

Pinkie Pie might like Strawberry Shortcake because of the food theme and the cuteness and emphasis on parties. And Twilight might read FoxTrot simply because of Jason, unless his wackiness would end up annoying her. She might also appreciate Pinky and the Brain as well.
