They were laughing at it. My mom was complaining about people she works with whining, so I sent her the 'I am not whining' clip.

Goodness gracious. This might just be the best humanized pony art I've seen, bar none.

Pinkie, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy

Dash, Applejack, Celestia, Luna

Looks awesome.

My mom's response to me showing her a random episode (Winter Wrap Up) was "You should take that moral and try and organise your time."\

@Nyarly

I said it was horrible message not becuse I am antigay. Lauren Faust wants to make girls feel free to be what they are.

If Aj or Dash turned out to be lesbians it would be an awful message, becuase It would imply that tomboy equals being gay ( a horrible stereotype tomboy girls have to face) and that isn't nessearly true. That would ruin the message she is trying to give.

Yes, Megan. Her story purpose was that the G1 ponies were basically stupid and couldn't do anything without a ten-year-old girl to guide them.
But some ponies did show quite a bit of ingenuity and initiative, so I never understood why they needed to abduct some random kid to be their commander rather than just electing somepony like Wind-Whistler to organize all their missions. I guess Firefly really wanted someone with an outsider's perspective or a pair of hands, but then why does Megan get to give everyone orders all of a sudden?

That Ponychan thread suggested sentient monkeys. That could work! They find the island of Picknscratch (loosely based off Gibraltar) that has a mildly steampunky population of Bungling Inventor monkeys, hiring themselves out for engineer-type stuff.
Dude, they had those in G1. They were called Gizmonks. See the episode "The Great Rainbow Caper".

...Where exactly did I accusing you of being antigay?

Yeah, I already thought that it's what you mean. But as I said, I don't actually care about that. I dislike such messages anyway. With FIM it's generally alright since it's not preachy about it, but if it were I would absolutely loath it.

Do they even affect anyone? Is there really anybody who becomes a better person through a cartoon?

My general stance on the matter is "Eh, whatever. I'll just ignore it".

Then again, that's my stance on almost everything.

I still feel scared at the thought of mum/dad finding out about my love for this show. o_O

If they did, I'd probably try to defend it and then get them to watch an episode. Probably Over a Barrel, since:
A) It's comparatively mundane and yet simultaneously dramatic (don't ask, it takes to long).
B) Not particularly girly.
C) One of the funniest episodes, in my opinion.

[up][up]My entire family knows that I watch the show. Hell, both of my borthers like it too.

My parents, well, they don't seem to care. Apathy runs in the family, it seems.

Hey guys, Fox News, being as open minded and unbiased as they are, have reported on the show!

http://www.fox2now.com/videobeta/?watchId=cbf5555f-0451-4615-9b6b-772fa46baf30

Skip to about 1:50 (-1:20). It's good to see us getting so much coverage! ^_^

Especially since we know they'd never compare us to, say, a middle-aged man who chooses to live like a baby.

On an unrelated note, I found this.

It might have been posted already, but I don't care.

[up] And now my forehead as a large ugly bruise. Thank you, FOX. You truely are a non-biased source of valuable information.

See, this is kind of the reason I hoped that Bronies wouldn't show up in the news. Because stuff like this happens and then there's a huge stereotype over our heads.

I love how EVERYONE is comparing "grown men love My Little Pony" to the downfall of America.

Fun fact: I like this show. Another fun fact: I work full time, pay my bills, hang out with friends, and have a fulfilling life outside of the fandom. So do a lot of other people. We're not a bunch of sickos throwing our lives away for a cartoon. Fox News, you just gave me yet another reason to hate you.

Yeah, I'd honestly prefer it if liking MLP stopped being a special case.

Sure, I like the show, but I don't wanna' be singled out because of it. I'd just like it to be treated as just another thing that some people like.

[up]Even more so than the rest of us, if Fox is correct.

Which, of course, it isn't.
