I'm still catching up, so I have a few things to comment on, so uh, was Mr. Cake's comment in the beginning sort of implying to the parents of the audience he wasn't sure whether or not Mrs. Cake was sleeping around?

I'm amazed by this episode in a somewhat meta-sense, Pinkie's fourth wall powers were literally being challenged directly by characters that had a larger comedic value than her but with no concept of what they were doing. I was wondering if she was afraid of their ability becuase she's never encountered others like herself before or if she was afraid because they had no control over the abilities they weilded.

Also, Rarity: Dick, Rainbow Dash: Dick, Twilight: Understandable, Fluttershy: Battered Wife Syndrome, AJ: Justified.

Now I have the mental image of an older, more grounded Pinkie setting up the Pinkie Pie School for Gifted Lunatics. Teaches them to use their Rule of Funny powers for the good of civilization.

@Giner, Well RD actually falls under the "Understandable" column but, it's Rainbow Dash, do I even need a reason?

Also, Rarity's "But thank you for thinking of me" line: Priceless, but dear god, I wanted to strangle her, does her narcissism know no bounds!?

I dont think Rarity was a jerk. She is a very busy pony and it would have been far worse to accept a job you arent prepared for.

Ske had a lot of trouble with sweetie bell for example.

RD had a perfectly valid reason, but her attitude made her seem like a dick.

I think AJ was the only one with a completely justified reason. The reasons given by the other cast members weren't of VITAL importance. Keeping a swarm of animals from destroying your livelihood though? kindof a big deal

I actually loved the piggy song even though my reaction was mostly with the Cake twins. at first I was like "WTF?" and then I was like, "This is so cute"

Rarity just does NOT like to babysit, at all. She had a hard enough time convincing herself to watch her own sister. Remove the family connection, double the kids, and make them require even MORE work to take care of, no. Rarity is just NOT good with kids or babies, you KNOW that if she ever has a foal she'll have a nanny taking care of it.

Honestly you can't just expect someone to rework their plans at the last minute.

And now that I think of it I probably would have reacted the same way as Rarity if someone asked me to babysit their kid.

I think everyone had valid reasons to say no. After all the cakes just asked them at the last moment.

Rainbow had a very good reason too, the wonderbolts are her dream and certainly their show cant be too cheap.

Twi-I'm sure if she just sent the Princess a letter saying she had to babysit for a freind Celestia wouldn't mind waiting on her report, but even if Twi learned a lesson from Lesson Zero about not reaking out royally about deadlines, she's still not going to pupt anything ahead of her studies unless it's an emergency, adn soon as she finshed she went to see if Pinkie neede help.

Rainbow-Perfectly valid reason, tickets to a sporting event you love, yeah no issue with not wanting to babysit kids you barely know. But yes her attitude was a bit dickish about it.

AJ-Agreed, best reason.

Fluttershy-Blame Angle Bunny, those two have one hell of a messed up relationship, and I would REALLY love o see a flashback to how they got together.

rarity-see above. She just does not like kids, period. And kinda unfair to to expect her to babysit, one absolutely zero notice, kids of ponies she barely knows.

You know my favorite scene in the whole episode was probably when Twilight showed up. I just love how offended Pinkie is at the simple insinuation that there is something that she can't do.

I somehow misread that and got visions of the Cakes asking Celestia to babysit for them.
