You know, I wonder why Ponyville has so many varying accents when it was some very southerner ponies who founded the place.

I don't see the baby as that creepy. Infact it looks kind of cute.

The Baby Cakes were freakin' cute it has to be said...and I don't care...so was the MMDW one.

But are we in agreement that the new baby design looks better?

oh yeah, fixes the main issue I had with the MDW baby, it's head was way disproportionate from it's body, and it's face was way to small for it's head, also it didn't look at all like a pony face, but the new model fixes that by making the eye's larger and giving them an actual muzzle not a nose. Only complaint I have with the design ATM is that the eyes are all pupil, no iris or cornea.

It's more in keeping with the designs of the adult ponies, I think.

Also, is it me, or are these the smartest 1 month olds in the WORLD?!

Maybe pony babies just mature fast.

In the real world new-born foals are expected to be up and walking within minutes of being born.

Okay, so I haven't been around today because at about 8 this morning I was attacked by Stomach Virus 2: Son of Stomach Virus, and spent pretty much the entire day trying to sleep. Haven't seen the episode yet.

Is the general consensus positive or negative?

The consensus is, decent, slightly better then average episode, with a YMMV ending that's either an asspull, or a CMOH.

I blame the mix of Earth DNA. I think overall Earth ponies learn at a faster rate to make up for the lack of wings and magical horn, and thus it applies directly to the twins becoming so skilled right off the bat. This probably also explains why Scootaloo can only hover and Sweetie Belle can't use magic yet, as they're actually pure bred version of their subspecies.

Also, I think the baby in MMDW could be written off as a pony version of an ugly baby.

Now I see how something wrong was with previous baby , but now they fixed it and they ultra cute.

Now put them in bunny suit.

The babies, both in MMDW and here, aren't ponies, they're recoloured humans.

Other than that, I liked the episode. As I've said often before, I think Pinkie Pie is really entertaining when she's the viewpoint character of an episode.

This actually makes me think about what we've guessed about Pony lifespans before, specifically that ponies physically develop faster than humans but their emotional maturity is behind what a human would expect at the same point in their life cycle. Maybe it is perfectly normal for foals to get bursts of development in the magic and flying department then have to learn to control it later. It makes me wonder about Scoots though. We've never seen her fly, and I get the impression that if she had any skill at flying we'd have seen her do it by now. Maybe she can fly, as in, is physically capable of it, but crashes into absolutly everything. Like Dash on a bad day.

I don't actually dislike any of the episodes, but there are a few that I don't think are as good as the others, and there are some that REALLY stand out as amazing to me.

Yeah, the review is probably gonna be a few days late. Assuming I even get around to watching the episode today, tomorrow I have to catch up on all the school works I've put off because of the sickness. -.-

Good to hear that we don't have another MMDW-style blowup on our hands, though.
