I liked when somebody said that the second batch should have been their superhero outfits if they were ever superheroes again.
Yeah, what's the deal wit that? They go all Sailor Moon in the first episode and from them on it's "magic super powers? I dunno what the fuck you're talking about, man."

I dunno, it seems kinda reasonable to me. The elements of harmony are called 'the most powerful magic in all equestria', making it pretty much their equivalent of a nuke, right? You don't just throw those things around willy-nilly. How many situations came up that really needed it?
They could have at least kept the jewelry they got.

I see what you mean; it woulda been pretty weird if that JLA animated series had started with fighting aliens in the pilot...
...and then spent the rest of the series being about Clark's journalist job and Bruce visits to his shrink, etc.
But I think the sitcom/dramedy is the thing that caught people's attention and made the series popular. And as stated, the other dangers in the series might not really have merited to use their powers like that.
Yes, Ponies personalities are tailored for them to be interesting in their normal life. Bats and Supes are not.
So, this is interesting.
Basically, there are quite a few occasions when 2 characters are onscreen exactly as the names of Jayson Thiessen and James Wootton come up in the credits.

You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.
Everyone, I'd like to share something with you. It's something that we, as bronies, understand a bit. I was reading this article and thought to myself 'yeah, that's why we watch ponies'
That's why I'd like to share it with you

I can't leave for a few days without this thread growing ten pages.

Personally I would. It's generally considered the best fanfiction this fandom has produced, and for a good reason.
And I'm late to the party, but oh well:
You know you're a brony if you read through a 285-page forum thread about the show.
There's "a fine line" between "There's" and "between".
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
Last night I had a dream that I was Twilight Sparkle and was helping plan Apple Jack's and Rarity's wedding.
