I still don't get why Braeburn is so popular. He's just too...chipper. I feel like if I had to listen to him in real life I'd get a nervous twitch.

I am good with the addition of any male pony. But yes his chipperness I found grating...it's o.k in small doses however.

There is always that. Male!Rainbowdash is much higher up on my list of OK then Female Rainbowdash for the pure reason of attractivness.

He's crazy popular in this thread, too, and I don't think we have many girls. Unless a lot of you are female and I'm just oblivious.

I think it might be because I've just had too many experiences with people like that in real life. In college I had like four different professors who were just too freaking enthusiastic about their subjects. Which is good, but they usually expected us to be just as hyped about it, which is kinda problematic when half the class is only there to fulfill a requirement.

Well, most of the guys who like him have the same reasons as fangirls. Seriously, he's adorable. It doesn't seem like he'd be like that all the time, but he's just so happy! I love it! I almost never meet a person like that.

Anyhow, gender flipped shipping, I wouldn't do it, I mean first of all I don't ship and second of all... On A Cross And Arrow still gives me bad squicky memories. When a good story throws you uncomfortable curveballs it's hard to get your perspective on straight.

@L Mage: Yup, that's the part of the appeal that I just do not understand.

Weirdly enough, I've never been all that interested the genderflipped Mane Cast. Which is strange because I have a 20+ chapter ongoing fic based around a genderflip. Or maybe that's why; I work with the idea so much that I avoid it in other places. I dunno.

For the artists in the thread: I've put together a short guide

to how I do shading and texturing in case anyone was curious about the methods to my madness.

For me, it pretty much broke my suspension of disbelief.

Eh, I can't bring myself to hate any of the ponies. Rainbow Dash has her nasty moments, but she's still a good pony. Pity this season hasn't covered that side of her, though. Hopefully her upcoming episode will remedy that.

What do you think, L Mage? The Fluttershy x Butterscotch thing, but especially the Rarity and Elusive thing. My mind just kept crying out how wrong it was, and then of course it was Rarity and Elusive whose collective obnoxiousness made me feel even sicker.

Thinking about it still sends chills down my spine.

The opening episode of the season opener kind of did that, but I wouldn't call that a good character episode for anypony.

Eh, Dash's reputation in the fandom has been pretty thoroughly trashed. The best that this next episode can hope to do is not cement her as worst pony, with the fandom.

Huh... not really sure, Chad. To me, Dusk's hair always just looked sort of messy. Like he left it uncombed for too long, and it just started holding a shape. But thanks!
