The original Inspector Gadget was voiced by Maurice LaMarche. The character was of course a parody to Don Adam's role of Maxwell Smart from Get Smart.

Maurice LaMarche voice all the other characters you named.

@Ginger: well, I was definitely weirded out by some of them so, sorta bad, yeah.

I'd like to see Peter Weller, John Hurt, or Sean Bean on the show. Though I'd like to see Bean as a Sharpe analogue.

No. The original Gadget was voiced by the late Don Adams, the same person who played the main character in Get Smart. LeMarche did not take over the role of Gadget until sometime during the run of Gadgetboy and Heather. Though interestingly LaMarche DID play the part of Gadget in an episode of the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and was the original voice of Chief Quimby.

And yes, LaMarche lives in Toronto.

I used too check out this thread every now and then, weeks before I started watching the show. Partially because I was fascinated with the whole Brony culture/phenomenon, and partially cause I already knew deep down that I was GONNA watch it at some point.

Due to the ubiquitous nature of MLP, I already knew all the character's names and personalities so it wasn't that hard to follow your conversations.
