I'd always taken both the Royal Canterlot Voice and the archaic mannerisms as a sort of front. She drops it completely when she's more comfortable, she just uses them when adressing her subjects. For example, we see no hint of either when she's apologizing to her sister in episode 2.

I tend to think Pinkie is a bit more well rounded then the rest, but by no means fat, or even chubby, just, she's got a bit of padding. I also bet her weight looks like a roller coaster depending on the sugar/hyperness ratio for the last week or so.

I also prefer women with a bit of meat on their bones. My problem comes when people start taking that phrase figuratively, because then I have to explain 'like an average person and not twenty to thirty pounds overweight'. =|

I've got nothing against you as an artist, Mousa, but your design of Pinkie's just flat-out beyond my limits of attractiveness. I realize others disagree, and all the better; but I'll continue to visualize the girls in the way that's most aesthetically and characteristically pleasing to me.

@Red Mousa could make the argument that Pinkie isn't MEANT to be pretty. She isn't here to titilate EVERY guy who sees her. Maybe she's just supposed to look like a normal person.

As far as ethnicty, if we're not just going with the default, all white cast.

Twilight I'd see as Asain, or maybe Indian (India type not Native American type)

Rarity as Jewish

RD as either black or latino

AJ Could be either Black or White southerner.

pinkie could be anything

And Fluttershy seems the most assuredly white.

I always imagined Pinkie as skinny for some reason.

Twilight Sparkle strikes me as being Asian, Rarity is British (or wants to be). Rainbow Dash strikes me as New Yorkian. Fluttershy is probably a Celt. And Photo Finish secretly reads Vogon poetry.

Anways I always thought of rarity as Russian myself, or maybe Polish. I only really imagine Fluttershy and AJ as "white"

Ok, if FS is from Cloudsdale...that makes her and RD Greek to me.

Rarity is now of Russian/Nordic descent in my headcanon.

Pinkie is Scots Irish (If she was fully human she'd have real ginger hair!

AJ is just...white. A tanned blonde.

Twi is either white or asian. Can never decide.

I've got one better.

Twilight - Vietnamese, Rarity - Japanese, Fluttershy - Chinese, Pinkie - Iraqi, Rainbow Dash - Turkish, Applejack - USA caucasian. They are all, except obviously Applejack, second-generation immigrants with all the baggage of multi-cultural identity crisis.

I'm not completely serious, but it always tickles me that only one of them can be not white. Ever. Or non western hemisphere.
