I have idea for pony fic what will be part of my Sci Fi Mega Crossover Fusion Fic -this one

Ponies (and other races from MLPFIM) are separate faction/space civilisation, characters from show are present in thi universe, but that not mean they appear in fic. I'm developing plot now, it will be war story, where ponies state will join one of sides of galactic conflic.

Anypony would be interested ?

I can see that last one happening, Ginger. Especially if she maybe had a magic growth spurt or something - like how people who are still growing can sometimes do things like accidentally ripping door off hinges by opening them too hard.

But about the subject of what a unicorn can and can't do, while they could theoretically learn any spell the issue is that most of them would have no desire to. Just as I could theoretically learn how to speak swahili, but have no desire to. Magic seems much more overpowered than it is, due to it's theoretical versatility, but the same can be said of the other aspects. There are many different things you can do with a pegasus magic, and an EP's advanced physicality means that there are lots of things that they can do with it as well. I'm sure magic must have some limits, some things that it simply can't do, or some weakness. Like not being able to magic Iron, or something of that ilk. Suddenly Earth Ponies become infinitely more useful because they're the only ones strong enough to manipulate this awesome new resource.

I'm guessing body horror for the caterpillar thing. It looks kinda creepy to me.

@Apple: I actually meant that EP blacksmith's would be the only ones capable of forging it, because only they would be strong enough to work it without magic.

But having a special material out there that grants some interesting abilities, and only the ep's can actually use it would be pretty damn cool. Like it has a property that amplifies certain powers, but it disrupts magic as it does so, so it would take away the tribe's natrual magic. So unicorns could wear it but couldn't do regular magic, and pegasi could wear it but couldn't fly. So EP's couldn't make plants grow, but because their magic is passive for the most part they get the new powers with no downsides.

This is pretty cool... to the fanon thread!
