I don't think so. They mentioned that AJ was rustic and that they'd have her speaking like a true Manehattanite. But I don't think they were jerks, they did take in AJ for all they knew permanently.

I mainly assumed Apploosa because 1. we know for a fact that AJ has family there, 2. it's apple-themed, so it makes sense that she'd go there, 3. the animators might rather reuse an old setting rather than go through the trouble of creating a new one from scratch.

I've heard of it, but these details are new to me. Fill me in.

I've browsed through the Hub's programming while setting to record ponies, and they do play that show. They also play BTAS, and we got that crossover in "Mysterious Mare-Do-Well"
