I was in elemtray school around the hieght of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s popularity, I also remember Xalion Showdown and bits of Pokemon. But I think the biggest one for me was Ben 10. God I can't belive how much they ruined that show.

Ah, yes, the Kids WB Saturday morning lineup. Back when Saturday morning cartoons were still a thing.

And Pokémon, obviously; I was in elementary school when that wave hit.
Even then I considered the show stupid and didn't actually watch it, fascinated more by the concept than by the storyline.

I doubt I would have appreciated FIM
Neither would I, if only for the risk of cootie infection.

Batman, Reboot, Sonic the Hedgehog, Ducktales, Darkwing, Transformers, g1 ponies, Swatkats, Real and Extreme Ghostbusters...

Yeah, I used to watch all the great classics back in the day.

I don't think there was ever anything I really watched religiously; it was more that I just happened to flip until I found something that looked decent. So I sort of have vague memories of a lot of shows, but no super great memories of shows that I really loved. I remember really enjoying digimon, but because I didn't watch it frequently I couldn't get the plot, and it was just cool thing doing cool things for me.

My first religiously watched TV show wasn't even a cartoon, it was Power Rangers.tongue

Still have no idea how that franchise is still around, but it is.

...my favourite power rangers were the dinosaur and ninja ones. I never saw the original.

Oh dear lord. Now I have crossover ideas for FIM and Power Rangers. It all fits too well, the Elements of Harmony are one handwave away from becoming morphers as it is. It's such a stupid idea, but the very concept amuses me greatly.

@thefran: Yeah, I always liked the games more than I liked the show. Didn't stop me from watching it, though. I was one of those kids who would always point out stuff like "Geodude is immune to electric attacks! How did Pikachu hit him?" And stuff like that.

"DC Universe server is shut down, goes on to read a crap-ton worth of info about Saturday morning programs on Wikipedia, goes to the pony thread"

Fate or coincidence?

I think Tyrranux and Gavalanche should do a crossover comic with each other.

Pfft, I didn't even have a gameboy. Nobody did, it was still partially Famiclone era over here when Pokemon aired.

I played caps.

I also papercrafted pokeymen to play with. Like a boss. In fact, one of the benefits of having no friends while growing up is that I was adept at making papercraft models, including a tank that had moving tracks and could shoot.
