Even Twilight's was pretty vague, too. Like, I'd be much more inclined to call FPK a twi-focused episode rather than a duo episode because Pinkie was more of the subject of the episode than a character in it. Like, the plot focused around her, rather than something she had done or was doing, and beyond that she had only a little bearing on it. The focus was much more heavily on Twilight alone.

@ Kegisak There's also the one of Twilight laying down, Luna's disheveld hair-and-blush, Twilight's bedroom eyes, and Celestia's O-mouth-sideways-glance-blush. I know some of those are debatable, but that's how I see them.

Well that's hardly her fault. The few times she's written as a focus character she is actually pretty stable, and really sweet. It's not her fault most writers only ever use her as a tool for jokes. Sure she could stand to calm down a bit, but...

It just seems to me that Pinkie is the type of pony that has a really easy time relating to other ponies on a superficial level, but has real problems with connecting on a deeper level with other ponies. I.E. she's the type of pony that has dozen and dozens of people she likes and talks to and is friendly with, but very very few close, actual, friends.

In fact it wasn't till the Mane 6 formed that she even realized there was a difference at all between the two, and even now may not fully understand it, all she knows she enjoys being with the other mane 6, and feels better around them, then she has around her innumerable other "friends" but not why.

That's what I like a bout pinkie usage insane? Very likely? Is she a bad person? Not at all.

And what if it isn't?

@Seraphwm I couldn't have said it better myself. Pinkie's super extroverted personality has a lot of drawbacks. That's why she annoyed fluttershy I am sure.

No, I'm not giving the mentally ill an automatic free pass on being a jerk, no. If I spend some time with them and it turns out that they're decent underneath fine
