So! Thoughts on episode 4 S2:

Luna is adorable, as if that needed to be said.

I am sucker for Halloween type episodes (mostly because it's my favrioet holiyday) so this one was espacily fun.

Tilight's and Spike's costumes where awesome, I like how Luna totaly got TS's when no one else did.

The Ham...The HAM! IT'S SO YUMMY!

No one felt like charicutre or OOC tonight, so that's good.

Luna not know what "Fun" is made me go "aww...."!

Luna learning what fun was made me go "YAY!"

As I said before AJ gets major props in my book for being the first one beisdes TS to accept Luna. Ironicly I was irked with PP until there at the end when she crystlized the whole thing for Twilight, that was a pure stroke of Pinkie Awesome.

That episode is the only time I've ever really been annoyed at Pinkie. I feel that even if she was having fun running around scared she should have recognized that it was hurting Luna.

Other than that, I agree with everything you said.

agreed. I'd go as far as to say she was being an outright bitch.

Her "Well, duh" made me wanna smack her with a fucking pipe wrench!

I agree one of Pinkie's flaws is that she is very insensitive to other's feelings sometimes (hence the reason she annoyed fluttershy).

She does what she thinks is best for her friends. But she doesn't take into account what her friends feel or want.(ex the party she gave to Twilight)

I'd go as far as to say the PP's biggest flaw is her inability to empathize with others sometimes. PP is one of those characters that has a very specific (not alwaays accurate) view of the world, everyone fits into that view and pepole's actions are not because of their feelings or desires but rather because of their place in that view.

good point. she is Twilight direct opposite in every sense (that is twilight and applejack main strenghts in comparison)

That would probably be why those two are my favorite characters.

That's another reason why I just can't relate to her in ANY way. Her method of looking at the world is just to bizarre for someone like me.

Or scratch that, it's because I DO look at the world in a bizarre way, but I don't like it, and I actually try to fit in with other people (unsuccessfully for the most part). So when I see someone like her get REWARDED for this insane method of thinking it just makes me sad.

I think this also plays into PP's biggest strength her complete and unshakable ability to remain attached to her world view. Nothing has ever been able to destroy her sense of reality or her belife in laughter and joy making everything better, even when it is clear to everyone else that she isn't being helpful or that it isn't workign (her song during "Over A Barrel")

This would seem like a flaw, but in reality it allows her to see perfectly clear where other ponies get distracted or cunfudeled (The Forest scene from her First Song, for example). She is, the most constant, clear clut, and determined member of the Mane Six, nothing shakes her faith in joy laughter and parties making everything better, so she is incabale of irrational fear or illogical (from her persepctive) beavhoir. Everything she dose seems werid to us, but to her it makes perfect sense, and her ability to cling to that even when the world is dead set against it, remarks her greatest strength.

Or something....I could just be rambaling here.

So basically you're just upset that it works for her and not you.

It's just one of many things that irk me about her, not the main one.

I tried to act like a normal human almost all of my life with next to no luck. I tried to act insane. I just ended up being lonely. Pinkie's never had to try. She's unshakable, she's unfallable. She doesn't. Act. Human.

So far that's all the family members we've met. I'm still hoping for an appearance by Rainbow's family at some point this season.

Rarity's parents are so wonderfully obnoxious. It's the elevator music that clinches it.

Or AJ's (their absense has almost become a running joke within this fandom)
