General Hurricane seemed acquainted with the idea of conquest. Maybe that's how they got their original land. I'm going to go with Griffons. Since they are a flying species it would make sense that the counter measure are other flyers.

@Random: I'd say that that is not a huge leap of logic ^^. Man, that's the part Pinkie was born to method-act, wasn't she? Pudding may be one of my favorite characters in the show, seriously, but ALL of them kinda are. I'm already kinda sad that the fandom will probably ignore all of these funny, great original characters in favor of so many who never had any lines (sorry background pony fans).

Yeah, the complaining is largely the same sort of entitled BS that happened when it turned out the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well wasn't Trixie or Derpy or some other fan favorite. It'll probably blow over in a few days.

As for the death threats, Ponychan being Ponychan, it's par for the course, and most of it is probably just trolling anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Give everyone a few days to simmer down and we'll have a much better idea of how the episode really went over outside of the extreme initial reactions.

One fear I had about the episode after I had seen the "bickering behind the scenes" scene at the beginning, was that the play/backstory would be disrupted by the Mane 6 breaking character and fighting for real on the stage, ruining the play. Then, the Aesop about tolerance, all that jazz. I really feared that would happen, would have drastically shortened the backstory and embarassed the heroines. So phew, that it didn't happen!

Actually I'm glad of that. Mare-Do-Well was extremely lacking in a lot of areas, but this one was actually pretty good. IT's good to know that we don't just have one bum writer in the crew.

Interesting history lesson was interesting. I expect more dissection of this to unveal some of the darkness Lauren left out of the mainlines so as not to traumatise the little girls.
