I have also seen a guy who does humorous and insightful recaps of the episodes who likes to do a lot of Exalted jokes.

Among other things, Discord is the Ebon Dragon.

He also does DND jokes, though. Like constantly referring to Rarity as the queen of the Underdark after A Dog And Pony Sow.

ok couple of WMG'S I thought up at work about tomorrow.

Each pony type has there own version of the pageant, and in each one THEY are the tribe being taking advantage of the most, the play the Mane 6 perform is based on the Earth Pony version since Ponyville was founded by EP's, hence why the EP's seemed to get the shaft. In reality all three tribes were equally dickish to each other and all on equal level.

Celestia was the cause of the blizzard to try and get the ponies to work together.

True. I mean, if you look at it from the perspective of "the Earth Ponies refused to share the food unless the other tribes did X, Y, and Z", then I can totally see other versions of the story cropping up.

In fact, I'll bet that that bit of contention causes conflict between the mane six "behind the scenes" of the pageant.

This was before the rule of Celestia, right? Which means that it was before Celestia and Luna deposed Discord.

Discord made the blizzard, just to shatter their fragile peace.

If Celestia's the cause then DAMN! What a bitch!

I mean, think about it. Their peace was tenuous, sure, but it was still peace. Celestia up and ruined that on the off chance that it would end up getting them together, as opposed to, y'know, KILLING EVERYPONY in Equestria!

I noticed that there is far less Cutie Mark Crusaders hate and more CMC love. I can remember one negative tread on Ponychan in last days (it was more anti Scoot and SB) and lots of positive reaction to CMC V As videos.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

eh, a common old blizzard just seems to, common and ordinary, for Discord.

and yeah this is before Celestia was in charge, so she'd be doing from behind the scenes, trying to get the ponies together without revealing herself.

Maybe Discord was literally JUST passing by Equestria and casually flicked a blizzard their way? He didn't plan to stick around he was just absent mindedly causing chaos, but when the equestrians banded together and overcame it, the display fascinated him enough to make him want to stick around.

Wouldn't it be great if their play ended with the 3 races singing a song about unity, the lights fade, everyone starts applauding, then suddenly, a lightning bolt flashes and illuminates a Draconequus Sillhouette on stage, accompanied by John De Lancie laughing maniacly!

Or perhaps the defeat of Discord by Celestia and Luna is one of the things that inspires the tribes to work together. After all, Celestia and Luna are the three races in microcosm.
