I did it, I did it all, what you people have been waiting for. All this planning and forethought is surprisingly mentally exhausting when combined with putting it into art, and I've done long comic stuff before. Getting into other people's characters' heads is no walk in the park and I realize I haven't drawn a non-pony related thing in months.

Someone asked about being friends with Spike, and he seems like someone I'd probably get along with, as long as he could at least tolerate my dogs. He and I would probably share a love of gross-out humor, at least, and he's definitely bluntly honest and would probably appreciate me being the same way.

Granted, this is a 2D cartoon where we only see lines and solid shapes, so we can't assume it's made of cheap material, or that the form actually presents how the hat looks. But I'm going with my first impression.
Also, this is over one hat out of an entire episode, so I won't be too strict.

Oddly, she's the only cast member I natrually picture as a different colour. Weird.
I'm pleased with all except Fluttershy's. I'm not a fan of "It's always the quiet ones" but the rest were PERFECT.

To be more specific, it's a reference to My Little Pony The Mentally Advanced Series, to be even more specific Mrs. Buzzy, an original creation of the show that Twilight had when she was a young filly and then one day during a tea party Celestia took out Mrs. Buzzy's stuffing and filled her with sliced bread, said "Mrs. Buzzy isn't real" and asked Twilight what this was supposed to teach her.
