I think it would be better to say that the RCV is at it's most powerful with used to sing. In speech mode, it's as we saw in Nightmare Night...when used to sing, it's a building wrecker.

I think that's why their hoards are primarily gold and jewels; they're more mature so they have more discretion in what they collect as opposed to just grabbing random junk
