On a lighter note, I recently realized that Pinkie Pie's story of how she got her Cutie Mark how Equestria was made actually DOES represent the story of Equestria's founding!

The mysterious unending blizzard that overtook the land is represented by the dark clouds over the rock farm.
The Pegasus ponies, Earth ponies, and Unicorn ponies not living in harmony is represented by the lack of talking and smiling.
The groups of ponies having cold hearts is represented by Pinkie's family not waiting for her to come inside.
Each group of ponies deciding to find a new place to live is represented by Pinkie and her family preparing to rotate the rocks from the south field to the east field.
The groups of ponies all arriving at the same new place is represented by Pinkie and her sisters gathering the rocks into two separate groups which would both be moved to the east field.
The groups of ponies learning to treat each other warmly is represented by Pinkie becoming happy and spreading the happiness to her family.
The storm being ended is represented by Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom blowing away the dark clouds.
Canterlot being built is represented by the rocks being farmed.
The unicorns inviting all the Earth and Pegasus ponies to the first Grand Galloping Gala is represented by Pinkie inviting her family to her first party.

I actually didn't make any of that up; I was comparing the story from the iOS app Twilight Sparkle: Teacher for a Day (which will be the same story featured in "Hearth's Warming Eve", judging by that episode's synopsis) to Pinkie Pie's story from "The Cutie Mark Chronicles".
