I like to think that FP is tired of the fame, and that he decides to fuck with his hanger-ons sometimes since he can't escape them.

And yeah, I dance like that, but I have absolutely no shame about it. I move the way the music does, wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm going with the good pony at heart as well. he's intelligent and decent enough to see the other high class ponies snobbery for the shallow elitism it is, and dislike it. But he knows he has to fit in with them some what at least, cause hey he might dislike the attitude, but he loves the perks that come with high society. So instead he plays along, but when he sees the snobs talking down to "normal" ponies he steps in and helps out the little pony.

short version, good pony that really likes the perks of being in high society, but trolls the hell out of the snobs becuase he sees what they are.

He must get along famously with Celestia, then.

Actually, he sort of reminds me of Celestia in a lot ways.

you know, I'd really love for Celestia to just take some time off, put Luna in charge and go have some fun with the Mane 6 without all the affairs of state getting in the way, you know she'd love to do that.

Fancy Pants was Celestia's most faithful student before Twilight. A retired adventurer explorer, he spends his days trolling nobility like his dear mentor.

Also, they missed a prime opportunity with Blueblood. Him and Rarity were standing next to each other! No snarky comments? No subtle animation to indicate they still hate each other's guts?

It upsets me a little.

I don't think she would, actually. She never seems annoyed by her workload, and I wouldn't entrust Luna with my dog, let alone a country

If anything, I can imagine Luna physically FORCING Celestia to take a vacation. Cue everything going to shit.

Do all the nobles in Canterlot have those Zeppelin Yachts? Or is it just the important ones like Blueblood and Fancy Pants.

Maybe Blueblood would also be in charge in such a scenario. Not that that would be much better. Episode where Luna and Blueblood are left in charge of Canterlot would be best episode.

Pokey Pierce's Cutie Mark is an hourglass now! (It's partially shown at various points throughout the episode, but it's fully revealed at the 18:33 mark).

I think it would be cool to see him still being his old self, still getting things done in his own way, and still getting kicked out at the end because everypony hates his guts.

And he should learn nothing.

Yes Celestia never lets the work load show on her, but you can tell she'd love some time to just have fun. The fact she invite the Mane 6 to the gala to liven it up, her little "well if I have to" at her little party when the mayor wanted to talk etc...

And YES A Luna in charge episode would be awesome. Get the Mane 6 in there to "help" her out, hilarity ensues.

Fancy Pant's friend was Celestia in disguise. The whole episode was yet another Xanatos Gambit to teach Friendship.

I'm going with the Celetia is the epitome of equine beauty, and so mares that look like her get treated like women that look like supermodels do in our world. Nest question, is there magic plastic surgery to make them look more like the princesses?

I wonder if Celestia can even HAVE fun anymore. Yes, I know there are moments where she trolls people, but here's how I always saw it:

Celestia HERSELF can no longer deride joy from performing certain activities ("having fun" as Luna put it) However, she instead gets enjoyment out of watching her SUBECTS have fun. That's why she trolls ponies, not for her own personal satisfaction, but to make ponies lighten up around her, and have fun.

She has fun by watching other ponies have fun is the jist of it. I don't think Celestia would enjoy herself if she went to a spa or something alone

also, i dont think so, there's clearly times when she's at least ammused by something. but I do think 1000 years of being in cahrge has gotten her to where she never lets her emotions really show at all in public. And would find it very hard to unwind and relax.
