Also, after a very quick glance on ponibooru I've already identified two new memes: Good Guy Fancy Pants(ala Good Guy Greg), and the Bidding scene, with various objects. I've seen 'Big Macintosh', and 'All the fucks I give'.

I don't know what a "Fawlty Towers plot" is, having never seen the show, but I just didn't like that Rarity was never called out for lying to her friends, nor did she even realize that it was wrong for her to have done so. And if she didn't consider it to be wrong, then that's just one more point against her for me.

I'm less bothered that she lied to the high society ponies and more that she did so to her friends, especially in a way that worried them (telling them Opal was sick).

Here's a question I have. Why didn't Celestia go to Twilight's party? At least just to make an appearance. It was right there at the castle after all. Then we could have reversed the situation at the end and had all the fancy ponies trying to sneak into Twi's party.
