@Edvedd: Yeah, I liked that as well. I was afraid that it was going to be one of those "Rarity is thinking of moving away" types of things, and was really glad when it turned out not to be. I think this is a much more interesting way to handle it. Especially the fact that it wasn't depicted as a total dichotomy, that's one of the things that bugs me about a lot of Friend vs. Idol plots.

I like this episode. Not best, well few last one are better, but it's not my least favorite from this season.

This episode showed more of Canterlot, even showed nice upper class ponies. (I'm only pony who think Fancy Pants is not evil?), and few other ponies (to bad Luna wasn't) return in backgroud like Octavia or 5th Doctor Whoof (yay), not to mention more new ponies , especially Eleven Doctor Whoof !!

Also new song, I was little disopointed that Rarity get another solo, but it's new song so I not complain, and song is great.

And PARTY CANNON !!

Damnit Death.

Anyways, I still say that Fancy Pants's arm-candy was just Celestia trying to get some nookie. Even a goddess has to get some sometimes.

Wow, we are really all in agreement? (Well, except for a certain festival artillery object) That's great.

I also liked the editing of the "Rarity at two parties at once" scene (a cliché I normally don't like), it was very quick and snappy.

I felt so sorry for Opal this episode, no wonder that cat hates everything.

I think there is another new backgroud Time Lord Pony.

But I need see him with full few of his Cutie Mark, because from picture where I see him only part of his CM is visible. I'm talking about unicorn stalion with mustage. He look like Master to me.

You know every time a new time pony shows up, someone tries to call im the master. It never really seems to stick.

...I still think that the pegasus is The Master. I don't see why Doc would regenerate into a new species.

Am I the only one who noticed that Fancy Pants has a bigger horn than other unicorn stallions?

That wasn't regeneration. He is half time pony/pegasus Doctor clone (like in Journey End).

And only in one case fanst whanted to call pony a Master , but he look similar to 5th Doctor so fandom is divided. Rest hourglass ponies have names of other Time Lords.

That's... possibly the first thign you've said that you've actually given me any reason to believe. Congrats. But he was still boond, higer pitched and had similar hair to the Master. The Doctor Donna from Journey's End(assuming I'm thinking of the right episode) still looked exactly like the Doctor, so a Doctor pegasus would still look exactly like Doc Whooves. He's just be able to walk on clouds, or some shit.

With all the complaints of "How can they not know the ponies who saved Equestria?", do you think the Mane 6 could have become the best of friends without Nightmare Moon? That is one fan fiction story I would love to read.

Romana tried on different regenerations (one of which looked decidedly alien) before settling on her prefered form (it happened in Destiny Of The Daleks)

Whether or not only female Time Lords can do this, we still don't know

Winged Whooves was the normal Doctor using some Time Lord tech to give himelf wings for some fun

At this point, you know the developers are using background ponies to mess with/honor the bronies. New Time Lord pony that HAS to have been based on Matt Smith, the close up on Octavia playing before panning out for a full reveal. the shear NUMBER of know background pony cameos this episode.

keep in mind, thaks to The Doctor's Wife it's now cannon that Time Lords can change sex during a regen, so is there really a differnce at this point?

wasn't a regeneration, after his normal lot had run out, his spirit hijacked the body of one to stay alive.

Now all I have to do is wait until someone puts up a youtube video I can actually watch without having the sensation that I'm going blind.
