Okay, I'm going through the ponychan thread, and I can see what Ginger is saying. There's a lot of focus on the party cannon. Still, it isn't Pinkie's fault if the fandom chooses to run a decent joke into the ground.

It's now my headcanon that Upper Crust and the other dickish high class pony are Diamond Tiara's birth parents. They too are from Ponyville, but prefer to lie about it whenever they come up to Canterlot

What have I always said: My problem isn't with Pinkie, it's with how the show uses her, and how the fandom over reacts to and oversaturates her

I honestly thought that "TWILIGHT OUT OF FREAKING NOWHERE" was funnier than the party cannon. I mean, I liked the party cannon, but I hardly think it was the highlight of the episode.

That would be Twilight's Adorkable dancing.

but yes Twlight dancing was the most hilarious moment. ok second, the one I luaghed the hardest at was when rarity ditched the Conga line off screen, then Congad back on screen on the othe side of the glass.

I read a comment somewhere that Rarity seems to bring out the best in the show's writers, and I totally agree.

As I said. Simple premise, great writing.

My guess is that they are trying too hard to make those episodes souns as little like a traditional girls' show as possible

It might have been, but I got a terrible lag when this happened. As opposed to Party Cannon that came out of fucknowhere.

they didn't ruin it, was closer to an early Pinkie at the Gala rather then at the end. They just did there thing while the snobish ponies went "harumph' Then AJ mis-understood what "Garden Party" , means

I loved the way Twilight actually LIKED her dress. That was so adorable!

I wasn't expecting that honestly. Obvious in retrospect though.

I was actually a bit worried in the scenes when Rarity was drawing the dress. All I could think of was that Twilight wouldn't actually like something that fancy. You know, dresses can be beautiful and low key.

Somehow I got the feeling that Fancypants was an Affably Evil pony. I mean he was pretty much controlling (and mocking) the entire upper class in the city. And it wouldn't surprise me if he was in control of the underground as well.

Great episode. My favorite parts of the episode has to be the rest of the Mane 6 appearing out of nowhere, the Pinkie Pie Cannon, and the return of Octavia, I really enjoyed it.
